Just currious to know if there were any CWMU Landowner Elk tags were still available for 2009.

There are three CWMU units in the Grouse Creek Area, the Grouse Creek, Double Cone and Twin Peaks... has anyone ever bought a tag from Milt or Boyd or Shorty before ? Curious to know what they sell them for or all they Allocated for those High tech Kalifornia Hunters ?

The Division of Wildlife Posted the 2009 Drawing statistics for the CWMU Elk Hunts...

In 2008 The Hunter success Kill rates on Bull Elk were.

Grouse Creek Public Hunt 100%
Double Cone CWMU .......100%
Twin Peaks/Goose CWMU 75%
Grouse Creek CWMU.........25%

The 2009 Applicant numbers and odds of getting a tag are:

Grouse Creek Public had 27 applicants for 2 tags for a 1 in 13.5% odds of scoring a tag.
Double Cone CWMU had 72 applicants for 3 tags for a 1 in 24.0% odds of scoring a Public tag.
Twin Peaks CWMU had 30 applicants for 3 tags for a 1 in 10.0% odds of scoring a Public tag.
Grouse Creek CWMU had 6 applicants for 1 tag for a 1 in 6.0% odds of scoring a Public tag.
