I was just wondering if anyone was pushing to continue the race/ride in 2008. I would love to show up again....and bring some friends.
Let me know if anyone is kicking the idea around, maybe I can help a little.

There was some talk during the last race about continuing the tradition. I offered to help if someone else wanted to pick up and run with the event. I suspect as we get into the new year, someone will step forward and take over. Regardless if someone actually organizes the ride, I plan on making the ride off of the mountain and would welcome company for any one else that wants to join me.

I would gladly join you on your bike ride, and I would glady help organize the ride, if my help is needed. :D

I just realized I hadn't updated the web page with pictures and the results from this year's ride. I just got them done and they can be found at: http://www.grousecreek.com/bike.html

On Saturday, May 24th the Eleventh Annual Grouse Creek "King of the
Mountain" mountain bike ride will be held in Grouse Creek, Utah. The 13
mile ride will start at the top of the mountain between Lynn and Grouse
Creek and will end at the Grouse Creek Store. The ride is generally downhill
so young and old alike can enjoy the event.

There will be a men’s, women's and youth (14 and under) divisions. The race
will start at 1:00 PM. Check-in and Registration will be from 10:00 AM until
Noon at the Grouse Creek Store. A registration fee of $15 includes a free
t-shirt and prizes will be awarded in each division.

This is a great event for families, scouts or father and son's outings.
There are plenty of roads to explore after the race and public road maps are
available at check-in. Trailer sites, sleeping cabin and primative camping
is available for those who want to stay overnight.

For more information contact Duane Runyan at (435) 747-7138
