Camping near Grouse Creek

Postby wdr2 on Mon May 05, 2008 10:06 pm

My brother and I are visiting the Grouse Creek area for the first time the weekend of June 7 to trace a few family roots - our dad was born there in 1913. Where are good places to camp for a couple of nights? We would be most interested in a primitive area with great sunsets and views.

Thanks much,

Bill,

For primative camping I would suggest the following.

Cotton Thomas Basin
Kimball Creek
Ingham Canyon
Dean's Pass

If you want something a little closer to town, they have a park and campground available.

We also have a private campground about 5 miles away that I can check for availability if you would like to use it.

If you want something with a roof over your head, I have a small cabin I rent out to those who want a place to stay.
