Who are you related to?

Since my grandmother was Olive Tanner Kimber and my grandfather was Winfred Kimber, I am related to a majority of the individuals from the area. You can find more about your relatives at: http://www.grousecreek.com/historyindex.html

My grandpa was Frank Lee and my grandmother was Orita Ellen Richins. Grandma and Grandpa were the janitors of the school and old church house for many years. Grandma was the ward organist for I think 35 years. Their home was located just west of the church - next to Ernest Kimber's home. I lived with them when I was in the 8th grade. I remember walking to the post office to get the mail and visiting with Olive.

Technically I'm not related to anyone, but my husband is Mick Warburton whose father is Dale--mother Ruth--grandfather Dell Warburton.

However my husband and I taught school in G.C. for 6 years.

My mom is a Kimber, who was the daughter of Rollo James (Jim) and Mary Kimber. I am so proud to be part of the GC heritage and of the Kimber Klan. Our family is incredible and I am blessed everytime I think of our family.

I am related to William Cotton- Betteridge through my father. I have become very interested in my family history and have found this site wonderful. I have never been to G. C. Reading the history of my family and the ties I have here I need to bring my family and stop by and visit.

Is there any Betteridge's that still live in G.C.?

Thanks for any help and info,

Jesse

Jesse,

There are several families living in Grouse Creek that are related to the Betteridges. Merlin Tanner Family, Jay Tanner Family, Blaine Tanner Family, and 2 part time families. Dixie Little Family and Richard Kimber Family. Raida Betteridge Kimber was a resident but recently moved. Those are the ones I am familiar with.

The Tanner family runs the Box C Guest Ranch if you are ever interested in visiting.
