My Grandparents are Charles Kimber Jr and Josephine Laird Kimber on my mother's side. My Dad's parents are Valison Tanner and Amanda Morgan Barlow Tanner. That makes me and Alan Smith's mother (Delma) double cousins (along with Dorothy and Verna.) My siblings are all deceased except for my sister Edna Romer who is 89 plus years old. My folks had six children, 4 girls and 2 boys, in that order. I am the youngest and so it is not unexpected that I have outlived most of my siblings, but Edna is child number 3 and has buried 2 siblings younger than her and 2 older. I was only about one year old when my folks moved from Grouse Creek to Brigham City and that is where I grew up. From age 5, I spent each summer on the ranch my father either owned or leased. I did spend one school year in Grouse Creek during the fourth grade and had Naomi as my teacher. That summer she married my cousin, Grant Kimber so she was related by marriage then. I was related to every one in my grade except Carol Warburton and also those students in the third grade. It is not unusual to have so many relatives when my Grandpa Charles Kimber had 21 kids and 93 grandchildren. Many of these grew up in Grouse Creek and some still have property there. By the way, my parents are Ralph Tanner and Chloe Kimber Tanner.
