I remember it as a wild time in G.C. The LDS Ward I think, used it as a fund raiser. It was generally held in the basement of the old rock church.
I remember big pans of Chili and hot rolls and apple cider. I think there was music and dancing. Then out in the parking lot, was the "adult beverage exchange". Rolling Eyes
It was usually held on Friday night before the hunt started. I know a lot of those guy's ate Chili and danced and partook of the spirits, until just about daylight. Then they went hunting. I don't know how they did it.
I don't remember when they stopped doing it in G.C., but I know Park Valley still has a deer hunting supper the night before deer season starts, but I don't think there is any dancing involved.
So how's your memory? Do you recall any other details, or do I have it wrong? I know Jose remembers, eh. Very Happy

I remember them a little but then I am younger than you!!!! I think they ended after Hughie became Bishop. I do know that there were a lot of out of towners that came and drank it up. We were always told to stay inside. It was fun to watch.

I remember a chili and hot dog dinner during deer season. I think they used to have the halloween carnival then too and all the little kids would dress up. I loved it. I don't remember the dances, but then again, I'm a lot, lot, lot younger than both of you!!!
