I am Kade Kimber, grandson of Oren LeGrande and Opal Lee Miller Kimber. Grandpa was one of the 21, but I don't know where exactly he fell in number-wise. (I know he was towards the bottom, as it was just him and Aunt Elsie left after Uncle Winfred passed away.) My parents are Randy Kimber and Brenda Baxter.
I grew up in Grouse Creek until my parents' divorce in 1987 and then later lived there for fifth and sixth grade. Our house was the last house at the far end of town (north, I think--I'm navigationally challenged

), just down the road from the gravel pit. I then lived in Brigham City until I graduated from Box Elder High School in 1999. I currently live in Raleigh, NC and will be attending law school next fall.
Even though I absolutely love living on the East coast and near the beach, I have to admit that I miss Grouse Creek something fierce and hope to get back there soon. Each time I fly to Utah, it's my goal to make it there. As it hasn't worked out yet, I was ready to fly back for a weekend last month just to make a trip out there. The area is beautiful, the people are the best in the world (they have to be--they're family

), and I have a lot of good memories from there. I especially loved the 4th of July and the Kimber Family Reunion. Going to school in Grouse Creek was such a unique experience and I love telling people about it, as they don't believe me that a school could be that small or have homecooked meals for the school lunch.
As I can't seem to make it there in person, I pacify my longing by checking out this website regularly. Great job on it, Alan!!
